I know nothing about the seller, but I use the SX50 as a travel camera, and it fits that niche nicely.

Steve's Digicams apparently doesn't sell but lists sale items and links to their sites.
Clicking on the SX50HS ad (Expiring 09/05/2015), takes you to Canon's Refurb site where it is listed at $386.99.
Of the 5 other deals listed, only 2, the Nikon 1 S2 and the Canon PowerShot S120 bundle are offered at the prices Steve's quotes.
