I am planning on staying near the Painted Hills and viewing the eclipse from the somewhere around the overlook.

Beautiful area, with lots to do within a few miles.

I was just going to go for a long drive and pull over on the side of the road somewhere. I have friends in Eugene that probably would love to camp there.
What a beautiful place to play.
Spoiler alert. If I do make that trip I have a good track record weather wise with eclipses. Unlike meteor showers. 😎
