Anyone ever rent an event printer? I've rented lenses, but I have an event coming up where I expect to have to print approximately 200 photos in a little over an hour and a half. My printer won't be up to the challenge. I don't want to spend more buying an event printer, than I'll make at an event.
If you have rented one, or know someone who has, what was your experience, who did you use, if you needed support, did you get it, or were you stuck? (That's my biggest fear, I'm not a computer tech, and I don't want to be stuck on a Saturday night and not be able to print)
I suggest that you directly inquire to Canon, and/or Epson, or whichever printer manufacturer, to ask for referrals to printer vendors/suppliers (photo stores, event management) in your area, designated for commercial rental.

Thinking more along the lines of DNP, Kodak, Shinfonia (spelling?) or something more along the lines of actual event printers. Epson and Canon are fine (I use Epson a lot), but you don't get the speed with an inkjet that you can get from an actual event printer, designed for such a thing.

Thanks, after researching the snot out of it, Going with the DS-80 from DNP. Dye sublimation (film on paper) prints 8x10 in about 30 seconds. Our Epson supposedly does color prints at about 20 per minute??? More like 1 per 20 minutes. (OK, like 3 minutes at high quality)
Excited about getting it, but not excited at spending $1000
The event will pay for it, but it is just a huge credit card bill to pay.
