I took one look at your original and it screamed at me, "I need a touch of post processing."

I could not hold myself back. I hope you do not mind, if you do mind tell me and I'll never do this again.

BTW, you have a lot of dust on your imaging array. It need cleaned.

I use a Tamron 10-24mm on my DX bodies. A Sigma 12-24mm, Nikkor 14-24mm, Sigma 15mm Fisheye for the FX.

I will post some of my samples - would like to see some other wide angle sample from the group...

Here are a couple of mine.

Yes, I'd appreciate it if you ask first. Mine was a bit dark though.

I think that the halo's on the trees look bad on your version.

I could lighten it up a bit, you are right.

Ya, I saw that halo. I was playing with a polarization filter that introduced that halo. I should have left that step out. Next time I exercise more self control and restrain myself and ask permission.

No problem... :)

I did lighten it up a bit, you were right about that...hit "F5" to refresh your browser to see it.

While a suggestion for post-prossing may be applicable, don't know if there is a 'rule' of etiquette concerning digital images - But I think it may be a bit of stretch to alter someone else's capture without asking...

I own a Nikon D3000, Nikon D5100 - for wide angle I use a Tamron 10-24mm and Sigma 18-50mm for these DX cameras.

A Nikon D700 FX is my workhorse - for wide angle I use a Nikkor 14-24mm, Sigma 12-24mm, and a Sigma 15mm Fisheye for this full frame camera...

I post-process with Adobe Lightroom (Macintosh), Aperture (Macintosh), and Photomatix (Macintosh).

It's one of the rules of the UHH site. Don't without permission.

I especially like the image up top - good work with contrasting light conditions...

Personally, I actually think it is something that is beyond rude!

If you are spending time 'correcting' other people's work - you need to get out more often.

Personal opinion, wide-angle has its place when you need (well, want) to include everything in a cramped space. And once in a while, a fish-eye distortion really works. But overall, I'm not a big fan. That said, most of what's been posted here is very good for wide-angle photography.

So, call me unimaginative.

Not unimaginative - everybody has an opinion...
