Snapfish (HP) has anyone used this service .
I know you can pick up the prints at Walgreens.
and other stores ...
Love Costco and Meridan Pro for pics. Order them on line and pick them up at costco or have fed ex delivery them for Meridan Pro
I have not used them, but do use Shutterfly. One caution is if you use the local developing - pick up service keep in mind you are now using thier equipment which seems to vary greatly as to quality. I would suggest you stick with the mail service unless speed is the need and you are willing to take the chance.

I use National Photo Lab and they have done an excellent job.....Just make sure that if you want your WB to stay as don't have them do any auto corrections. Have them print your shot as is.
I have used SnapFish several times and found they deliver great pictures and very good value. When they have their specials you can't beat the value.

I recently had some photos enlarged and printed at 11 x 14 by AdoramaPix. It was the first time I have had this done, so can not compare to other places, but I was very impressed and pleased with the results. Four days from upload to pictures in hand.

I would like to have some enlargements printed too. I use Aperture, and I'm not sure how to get file size/resolution settings correct. Do I submit jpeg? I thought that would lose detail.
I used National Photo Lab for my step daughters Senior Photos and was happy with the price, speed, and results. We got the metalic look and they really make the colors pop and the picture stand out from other pictures on the table.
AdaramaPix is top notch. I have used them and like their work. ShowcaseInc.com is also super. They are located in Decatur, GA.
Second that,, Would recommend the Kodak Metallica paper also, Great Finish.

Yes, jpeg. Virtually all labs require a jpeg. The minuscule quality loss from going to jpeg will not be noticeable. Be careful of the information you get from pixel peepers. --Reference to another thread. :-)

Thanks for that idea - I've heard a lot about the metallic look, so I think I'll give that a try too.
And thanks to all who gave such helpful suggestions - quite appreciated.
Captain C, could you elaborate on your last two sentences, please.
Thanks.

Well...sort of tongue-in-cheek, actually. Being careful about advice from "pixel Peepers" just refers to those who worry less about how an image looks in reality and way too much about minutiae, i.e., you MUST shoot RAW, you MUST use AdobeRGB 1998, and the biggest bunch of crap of all - JPG is just for the web. All that counts is the print and a gorgeous print can come from any combination of RAW,TIFF, JPG, sRGB, AdobeRGB. There are places for all and legitimate reasons to make the choice to use any of those.
