In Politics We Trust

What are the real facts?

There is much reason for me to rely on multiple sources for anything I deem important enough to verify. H**e to be this way, but I find it not difficult, but impossible to completely trust anybody or any source for that matter.

For the past 60 plus years I have trusted my father on many things, but after his living in Florida for 25 years, he has become so politically dis-oriented that I feel that his judgement is no longer trustworthy regarding anything politically oriented. No matter what happens, his party of disfavor is at fault. I have no doubt that each of us can find another family member or acquaintance to substantiate our views, or at the very least an internet source, no matter how disdain.

I'm lucky that I didn't fall in to this because I have one party screwing me on the national level and the other party royally screwing me on the state level. It doesn't get any better than that! Actually I suppose that I could end up with another doing me locally... I could not verify this with Snopes, so I guess it's not true. I will seek additional validation. No, not Dad.

The real beauty of my analysis is that the guy across the street totally agrees with my views!

The bigger appreciation is that we are total opposites regarding which party is doing the screwing and at which level. We can both site numerous facts to support our convictions. Usually this is not conclusive.

The biggest appreciation is that we are smart enough to respect each other and not continually whine about our differing positions.

in the old west it was "trust the dealer but, cut the cards"
in the middle east it was " trust in Allah but tie up your camel".
in todays world it's "trust who you must but, grease your butt first".
