Windows 10 Adobe Creative Cloud problem

Maybe I am the only one who has had this problem. I recently upgraded to Win 10. All was well and I liked it. Then about a week later when I opened up my Lightroom CC, suddenly the haze filter was gone and I soon discovered I was in Lightroom 6. It then said my trial period was up and I should buy a subscription. My Creative Cloud app on the PC said the same things. Both PS ans LR at the end of trial period. I was fully paid up according to Adobe website. I called tech support. They took control and fixed it. I had to reinstall. Two days later same thing. Tech Support fixed again but more easily. Then a day later same thing. But this time when it was fixed via remote control, he wanted to do a restart while he was still in remote control. When my PC restarted things were really messed up. No task bar. Can get it sometimes, but it usually goes away. So no start button. Unable to start in safe mode. My programs are working though. No screen saver or wallpaper, just black screen with color icons. And still are. Am working with Microsoft now. Level one support could not solve problem. The first 48 hour wait has come and gone for a level two support person. Now am on second 48 hour wait. They are swamped.

Word to wise. Wait a while. Will update. Should have remembered my old saying, "If it's not broken don't fix it."

I updated all 3 of my computers. No issues to speak of.... This software was in Beta for quite awhile to iron out the bugs (I was on the "Insider" rollout....) My Adobe CC works just fine (PS CC2015 & LR CC 2015)

This is precisely why I'm waiting until next June to update even though I keep getting nagged to do so.

Will update if I or when I get a call back from Microsoft on this. Wish I had money for a barn burner MAC desktop. Where do I find $3000? I would abandon PC immediately.

One caution on the barn burner iMac. The 5K display is overkill for photo editing. The only people who would benefit from the editing would be other 5k users. I for one am perfectly happy with my open box $1400.00 iMac.

I found when I got to level 2, the tech was light years above the level 1 guy, and fixed an obvious glitch that the Level 1 one guy did not have a clue of. Hang in there, they will call you back and fix the problem.

so far I'm staying win w10, since my LR & Corel issues can be worked around. Have to say the Adobe tech guy doesn't have a clue what could be wrong. His latest suggestion is to uninstall LR & reinstall it. I'll do that since the only pain is time and trying to remember how I had set up the metadata. The Corel problem is that the x7 window has to be closed via the task manager, since the exit 'x' results in a non-responsive app. Corel has replied that both x7 & x8 are are w10 compatible.

Try signing out of the CC desktop app and then signing back in. That usually works. It may also be that you need to re-aithorize your computer. What with the new operating system, Adobe may think you're using a different computer.

I'm going to have to agree with this. I love my Windows 7 and see no reason to move to 10. I've read so many problems with people that have moved to 10 that I've decided that I'm not going to do it at all. My next PC will probably have Win 10 on it, and that's fine. At least when that happens I'll install fresh versions of all the other software from scratch and hopefully they will all still be compatible.

That would be a great mistake. My PSCC works perfectly under Win 10. I haven't had a glitch on any of my first three computers (Two laptops and one desktop) except the fourth laptop lost the wifi. Turns out that ACER decided to orphan that laptop and have not updated the wifi driver in two years. They knew there would be a problem and just took the machine off the approved list. So much for ACER

Computer guy here. Be very careful with phone calls and people remoting into your machine. There are a lot a very bad scams out there and it's often hard to clean up the damage they do. When you do a web search for tech support, many times the first few results are paid for by bad guy sites with names that sound legit. Your computer and your wallet will thank me if you avoid this blight on society...

It was Adobe tech support. I had called them on a number I found at their web site.
