Each year several photography clubs in the Northern Virginia area get together to put on a fairly major show. There are photo contests in several areas of nature photography.
Renowned photographers talk about their work and present seminars/classes on various topics. It's a very full three days, but a lot of fun. Many vendors are there for two days to provide software, hardware, photography equipment, and excursions both domestic and abroad.
