My brother-in-law, who is a computer expert, he owns his
own business, has just informed me that you can get Win 10 from Microsoft with validation key from Amazon. He got
Win 10 Pro and paid $140 for it.

Why would you pay $140 for it when it's FREE if you already have Win 7 or Win 8 even if they're illegal copies?

It is only free for one year, after that, it is going to cost $140. The point is the Windows 10 retail disk was not suppose to come out for many months after the free
download but there it is. He ordered it for a client of his, he
didn't give me the reason why.
The first thing Microsoft does is check your computer to see
if you copy of Windows is legal, if not, it will not download.

I downloaded Win 10 the other day onto a usb stick, it would seem no problem ?, I haven't installed it yet, waiting for more to take the plunge and try it first, any way where do you get the validation/registration key number from ??

I thought if you upgrade to Win 10 within the first year it's completely free and if you upgrade or buy it after that it will cost you.

If your system now has WIN7 PRO or WIN8 PRO, Microsoft will download WIN10 PRO instead of the standard HOME version of WIN10. This was posted on all of the BLOG sites and is advertised on Microsoft's website as well.

Why pay for something that they are offering to customers for free?
BTW your relative/computer expert should have gotten an unlimited license version of WIN10 PRO if he intends to use it for installation into multiple machines. He's going to run into problems when the installation tries to update and discovers that the key number has already been utilized in previous machine installations.

Viking, I didn't ask my B-I-L why his customer wanted the
Windows 10 on disk, some people are just odd. Anyway
Amazon has them for $140.00 OEM system builders version
if you so desire. P.S. I am sure that my brother-in-law told
him he could download it for free.
