Whenever I type a word with an apostrophe (Julieâ) this weird wording comes on the screen does anyone know how to correct this? Thank you hogs

Go to system preferences; Keyboard; input sources and make sure you are set to U.S on the keyboard.

If the US Keyboard is selected from preferences, all should be well when typing in your documents.

I am in England so have put the GB badge on, I hope that cures it. Thank you.

Check language and keyboard settings. Occasionally I will choose UK, Greek or German and forget to change it back.

Some computers will automatically insert a preset group of text whenever you type a specific character. If the inserted text that appears each time you type an apostrophe is always the same this may be your issue.

Sorry, I have never seen that symbol. Do you have any time on your Apple Care Protection plan?. You can call 1-800-275-2273 and if your time has run out, they will charge you. Depends a bit on how badly you want to have it fixed.

Mac problems are not big IF you have an AppleCare Protection Plan, BUT if you don't
