Driving north through Montana into Glacier NP and then the Canadian rockies,
the scale and enormity of the vista is absolutely awesome. These are a sampling from our '88 trip.

Third is actually Moraine Lake and 4th is the end of Peyto Lake. All of these were taken in Banff National Park.

Thank you DrWilk for identifying my pictures. It's been a long time, I didn't keep any written notes and my memory is slipping. I may find some others worthy of sharing and I'll be very grateful if you will point out any errors or omissions you happen to see.

I'll be glad to if I can. That's a favorite area of mine. I've spent a lot of time there so if I can help identify anywhere for you I will.

Thank you also, Dr. Wilk. I agree with you about the area too. :-)

Beautiful shots.
As far as I'm concerned nothing comes
close to Kodachrome.

I was just there and its no longer like that. The glacier is just about gone and the water is more of a green

The colour of the lake changes dramatically throughout the year and can look significantly different from hour to hour as the light changes. Unfortunately you're right about the glacier melting.

Yes, definitely Moraine Lake, in the Valley of the Ten Peaks.

The water is often green, both at Moraine and Peyto. Sometimes Louise can be green, too. The glacial silt changes the color. I grew up in the area.
