My wife and I were using one iMac and sharing LR6. I just bought my own iMac and I am considering getting LR/CC since B&H is having a sale. Can I set up his/hers to share one CC license? Would we be able to use CC at the same time? Has Adobe done it to me? Thanks very much.

Yes you can use one license on 2 computers at the same time. You can use 3 but one of the other 2 has to sign out. My wife and I ues LR CC (LR6) on two computers (with it installed on a laptop that we take on trips also) at the same time and all the time. Adobe will tell you that you are required 2 licenses but they have not enforced that.
She is currently in Philadelphia using the laptop as I am in Clearwater Fl using one of the 2 desktops and LR at the same time.. Her Desktop is logged out of LR to allow her to use the laptop... NOTE: you must both use the same login ID but you can have separate catalogs and import your images separately.. Because of lack of space on her desktop computer, I even have her using a shared spot on one of the 4tb drives on my computer on the network for her image imports and it still works fine.

You're allowed by the license agreement to install on two machines concurrently, but it can only be used on one at a time.
Adobe sells the product it created, with the above stipulation. I don't think they are "doing it" to anyone. You are free to buy two subscriptions if you both need to work at the same time.

You can install on two computers per Adobe. However, only one install can be running at a given time.

It can be installed on as many computers as you want.
It will run on both computers, Adobe's license is for one computer. Third computer requires you to log out of one of the other 2.
:-) Looks as though he's as confused as everyone else!!

About your husband-wife licensing question, I use my CC license (not the photography product) on three computers in the house, Mac and PC. Only two can be logged in at once. I have one ID and password for use on the three boxes. The Adobe support team for installation approved this arrangement in a chat, two days ago and mailed me the chat transcript.
Your question is important because many of us have been unclear about the matter for some time. In fact, for my wife's use in consulting, I bought a license separately for Acrobat Pro DC, which is part of CC, not understanding that I could host it on three boxes. Support says when I contact the right team, they will stop charging for Acrobat.
Related to putting more devices in play is the ability to synch to iPads and iPhones (Lr Mobile). I finally got around to doing this and the Lr mobile feature is useful for getting to my wife photos to "sign off" on when she is away from her laptop, after I've QA'd the approval set on our big TV as a final check.
Finally, note that Adobe says you can upload your work to Bechance if you subscribe to CC and you can share privately. I'm not sure this is well documented (how-to) for CC and certainly not at all in the user manual for Lr but I'm trying to puzzle it out now.

Maybe it's worth jumping back into the arena to share that I am logged into my Mac and PC instances of Lr right now and editing both at once. A couple of hogs have indicated there is a restriction on this capability. There is the CC license (me) and the different photography license. I think my earlier post was clearly about the CC product; the questioner's post may have mentioned both.

As I stated, I have 1 Adobe CC license. I am running it on 2 computers at the same time using one (1) login. Each computer is importing and developing to separate libraries but working at the same time. If I want to start a third (3) computer on the same 1 user license, I MUST log out of one of the other 2 before logging into the 3rd. Otherwise it asks if you want it to log out of the other 2 computers before starting the cloud on that computer. If I am away from home and forgot to log out of the other 2 I just answer yes and go on. Otherwise it will just close and not let the 3rd computer log in. Adobe's license agreement is one license on one computer but it works on 2 at a time. I have also helped 3 other people do the same thing and theirs works the same as mine.

And if you also had the standalone license you could run it on a 3rd computer at the same time.

I have a stand alone 5.x license but, for consistancy, I run everything CC. Besides, it is just the wife and me. 3 computers 2 at a time is plenty.. She doesn't think she can do 2 lightrooms or a lightroom and a photoshop at the same time on different computers so we really don't need 3 or 4 at a time.. yet.

Good morning to all of the HHer's. I have LR6 running now on both computers simultaneously. I moved my catalogue from the first iMac to the new one with no problem and now I am up and running. The process was facilitated since all of my images reside on external hard drives and external back up drives. Thanks to everyone who proferred advice.
