I'm just getting the feel of imaging with a 5x and though it's far from quality , I'm just "all giddy" that I could get it on the sensor. It just goes to show what a 6mm ep alignment can do for ya. Tonight , I've got alot to work on. Focus is a priority with no moon to focus on. 1st time using this camera on a Planet, doesn't it show? I was supposed to be shooting 5500 frames but, it cut off at 539 frames so I stacked and this is what I've gotten so far.

I agree with Craig, great start. I think all of us started off in this neighborhood. It will come. Don't lose patience. It will click and then it will become much easier.
Well done.

I should've kept shooting with this camera along, at least I would be used to it and not be fumbling around trying to adjust this and that, I could be working on the focus instead. Thanks yall, It's gotta get better.

Very good!
I finally won favor when I was tracking Saturn, then tried stacking under my eyepiece first a 2x, then a 3x, and then the 2x AND 3x to pull the planet into my telescope. The family saw Saturn up close and live for the first time.
When stacking the Barlow's, some clarity is lost. But the magnification gained is nice to see. ;)

SonnyE, that's what I'm talking about getting the most out of what you have. Reading your reply gave me goose bumps knowing how excited yall were to see Saturn up close and personal. Keep it going , there's so much more for everyone to see. Stacking the barlows was a great innovative idea , I'm glad you had such success. I had a terrible time getting the object to come to focus tight enough when I had the 1 1/4 3x telenegative and 2in.2xED barlow w/ 1 1/4 compression ring adapter about 6 months ago, eventually the atmosphere gave me that lil' break I needed not as tight as I would've liked but hey, that's power to the limits.

What program did you use to stack the video?

hpucker99, I ran Avi thru Autostakkert 2 , then stacked the tiff file in Registax6. Using rgb align ,balance before using wavelets ,that's my routine for now but, it can change at anytime.
