My name is Lisa and I am happly married with 5 kids and 5 grand kids. Photography is my passion and has been for about 5 years. I am trying to learn about it on my won but am having difficulty. Hoping I will find some answers here as I go along. Thanks.

You seem to like the number five - not there is anything wrong with it. Five fingers and toes on each limb is what I prefer. And that is a example of my mouth - others are very good wtih helping with questions and all welcome comments and photos.

Hi Lisa,
I too am a Hoosier and like you consider myself a self taught novice. I find sites like this and there are plenty of others on the Web, very helpful, but what gave me the most insight at one time in a more orderly fashion was reading books from my local library. Between the two I felt as though I was able to bring myself up to speed fairly quickly. And of course everything you read you should try and replicate with your own equipment, that helps make it all stick. Good Luck. dda53

I think it's funny that you develope an interest in photography when you become a grandparent. I too have 5 grandchildren and it has tweaked my interest too.
