We took a visit to my wife's uncles house. I like to keep my camera near by, so during some down time I took a stroll and snapped some pictures. Hope you enjoy them!

Nikon D3100 standard lens (18-55mm) still to broke to get a better lens :)

You don't need a better lens.

Very pretty series!

Perhaps a little bit oversaturated colors in places, but if that is your preference, that's OK too :)

Thank you Rlaugh, quagmire, and Linda.

Yes Linda, I do like to push the saturation on a lot of my pics and dab into some HDR :)

I find the bright colors very cheerful. I particularly like the two butterfly close ups but enjoyed all your shots.

Nothing wrong with those shots. There seems to be a tendency to believe that a kit lens is not good enough when some very nice shots are possible with them. My regular kit lens is the old 18-70 f3.5-4.5 that performs very well for me. I had the 55-200 but I sold it when I bought the 70-300. The 55-200 was also very capable.
I do not know what other lens you have in mind but keep in mind that our results depend more on our expertise than in the optical qualities of a lens.
When we do our part the lens does its part also.

Looks like my yard. Same flowers, same butterflies. I shoot them all with an 18 - 300 mm Ed g VRii . Try it, you'll like it!
