I never saw butterfly eggs before.
I noticed that one type of egg has 8 segments and another 16.
...remarkable photography, thanks to both posters.

How lucky you were to actually see a butterfly laying eggs. I like your photo. I'm glad you shared it with us.

I like all the photos Nikonian72 shared as well. I would actually have to see a butterfly laying eggs to know that that little raised spot on a plant was butterfly eggs.

I find many of my butterfly eggs at my local "Butterfly Pavilion". I ask the pavilion volunteer where the interesting subjects are lurking: chrysalis, eggs, caterpillars, spiders, etc.
