Have a E5 on trial for 10 days

2 issues

1) I cannot get the "show prev shot" button to work unless I shut off the camera and then turn back on

2) Even though I set the camera esposure comp button to zero, the display showed +.7 Why?

Any ideas/thoughts appreciated!

I do not have my E-5 camera with me and won't be home till Tuesday or Wednesday to see if I can discover anything that would help you.

Just a minor correction, though, the E-5 is/was the flagship of the 4/3 cameras, it is not a micro 4/3 camera. I know, it gets confusing. The big difference, although the sensors of the 4/3 and m4/3 are the same size, you can use the 4/3 lenses + adapter on a m4/3 camera but not the other way around.

Question: What setting do you have the camera on: A, S, M, or something else? Did you take the orchid photo with the E-5? What lens?

EDIT: Oops! Ignore the above. I just downloaded and installed an Exif Viewer to this little notebook: You don't have an E-5, you have an E-M5, which is indeed a micro 4/3....

Is this a rental? If so I'm wondering if you should reset it, as it sounds like there is a setting that was changed. Are any of your "My Sets" set up?

That is what it sounds like...That the camera has been set up with some custom setting prior....

You shot this with an E-M5, 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3, ISO 3200, 1/800s, f/6, shutter priority, at 43mm (from EXIF data).

You are overexposed by +.7, because at 43mm the maximum aperture on that lens is f/6. So you are wide open. You can lower the ISO, or set the ISO to Auto, and that will bring the exposure back to normal.

The focus looks soft. Where you, perhaps, too close?
