A couple of days ago, I downloaded LR6 for Windows and Mac. It works on Windows, but it will not go beyond 99% installing on the MacBook. Then I get a message saying the Adobe installer encountered a problem. It accepted my key numbers for versions 5 and 6, but it cannot complete the installation.
So, I thought I'd download it again, but I can't find anything but CC in LR6, although I was able to download LR5, but that won't go beyond 99% either.
So, where can I find LR6 to download?
I have been trying to install Lightroom_6_LS11.dmg

EDIT
Sorry, just noticed this is the UK link.
Might be the same in the states, click on the buy link which gets you to LR6 full and upgrade.
Apparently B & H also have a LR6 download.
Yes, Adobe has generously offered to let my buy the upgrade again, but since the one I already bought and downloaded doesn't install, I'd rather not pay again.
It is extremely difficult to find the stand-alone version of LR6 on their site. I guess I'm lucky I found it the first time. I have it running on my Windows machine, but I want to get it on my MacBook to bring with me.
EDIT: Another thing. I finally gave in and thought I'd try Chat. I had to go through a long selection process for the program, problem, etc. Then it said, "Ready to begin a Chat?" I clicked on that and was brought back to the questionnaire. Just one big circle.
I didn't check yet, but can't you still download the LR6 Trial version and then apply your purchased code?
Of course, Adobe could have removed the trial version.

I couldn't find that choice. I could click on Buy and then chose the full version or the upgrade. There was no trial. I thought I was downloading LR6 onto my iMac, and it turned out to be CC version.
It's down near the bottom of the dowloads page, under all of the CC apps, a link to "other downloads"
I tried to see it but I am on an Ipad and it won't let me download/check desktop apps.
Thanks. I'll look tomorrow 6 LS11 is the one I can't install.
Thanks. I'll look at it tomorrow.
Between Win10 not installing and then the trouble with LR6, it hasn't been a nice day.
LR 6 is awesome. Worth while...

Thanks for the links, but some of these are for CC only, and some are Access Denied. When I installed the Lightroom 6/CC, it turned out to be only CC. I'm installing Lightroom_5_LS11.dmg now. When I bought it, it was LR6 for both Mac and Windows. Yes, they don make it confusing.
I did manage to get it installed on an old Dell XP laptop, but after going through the entire lengthy process, when I tried to run it, it told me that I had installed a 64-bit version on a 32-bit machine. You'd think it could have told me that in the beginning.

Lightroom 6 and lightroom 6 cc are the same program
it depends on with what license key you use which version you get.
perpetual license key you get lightroom 6 standalone and no haze filter
cc license key and you get to pay rent for the rest of your life, or until you change your mind.
it is the same program that is downloaded.
If you are considering going into rental mode, wait 10 months or so.
if you rent lightroom your paying $9.99 a month with a minimum contract of a year so $120 ok $119.88.
The standalone version of lightroom 6 is $99 and you own it forever windows or mac (or both) you are allowed 2 installs.
Anything you do in lightroom 6 standalone will still be there if you change to the cc version.
So why rent now? Do you really need the haze filter that much?
Even if you buy the brand new not even on the drawing board nikon 900, eventually there will be a version of adobes free dng converter to bring the raw file to a version of raw that lightroom 6 can open.
Most plugins have a standalone option or can be launched as external editors in lightroom.

not to divert the topic... but i spent 2 days on win 10 before reverting to 8.1 (which then hosed chrome's ability to connect to https, but that's another story.) basically win 10 ended up being unable to connect to my router & i don't have enough tools to debug why.
however, my lr 6 works just fine under either.
