Our local priest said that a phone that rings during mass causes him to lose his concentration.
From now on, he may have to start the mass over when it happens.
Three weeks later, and so far so good.

The last time I got called to jury duty, the judge told everyone to turn their phone OFF, or else. So this lady's phone rang, she answered it, the judge barked at her, and she told the judge to wait a minute. Baliff walked her out, not towards the door, towards the back. Hilarious! Nothing to do with the phones in church though.
Of course, my son is trying to be a preacher, filling in sometimes, and such, and right in the middle of the sermon one day, his screaming ring tone went off.

It's good except that those that were texting probably did not hear him.
A couple months ago I saw a woman texting during mass. Maybe St. Peter was on the other end! :lol:
