I took a series of deer shots all in M mode when I thought I was in A mode. Fortunately they are recoverable, but still a challenge.

Feel free to fix/optimise this shot in whatever way you think fit.

JPG here, DNG to follow.

I really did not see a challenge.

WB*, Exposure and a couple of other sliders in ACR basic mode.
Clarity of course...

---* That of course depends on how you saw it. The WB as it was way too cool.

Sorry first try was YOUR original... :(

Getting it to look like a well-taken photo without overcooking it takes a bit of skill and thought.

Thanks for contributing, Wayne. You've certainly restored the vividness. The frame's a nice touch.

It's perhaps a bit strong on the yellow, but on a really bright sunny day, who's to say. You've definitely given it more sunshine than the reality of it warranted.

Played with tones, depth, vignette, and selective sharpening.

Great capture even if you forgot that you were in manual. I cropped, sharpened parts, blurred parts, and dodged and burned.

Here is my attempt. Applied a dehazing filter and a bit of saturation.

Using your JPG I let PSPx6 do a "1 step auto fix" then cropped and added a slight touch of tone-mapping. Just a 'different' style even though the previous edits are all nicely done.

oops... wrong photo will try again
