I might be interested I just need to come up with the money !! I'm new to photography ... Is this a full frame camera?
Yes it is, and it would be an excellent combination for a new photographer, all the bell and whistles and easy to use especially with the DVDs and book included, also the file size are smaller than the newer 800 models so you should be able to use your current computer to process, print and store your images.

I can attest to the quality of this offer as long as it is as described. I have the 700 and 24-70 2.8 and find this to be a great combination. Even though I have a D800, I prefer the 700 in some situations. I feel it handles noise better than the 800, and I like that the smaller file size doesn't take forever to download onto my computer. The 28-70 usually brings 1200 to 1400 and the 700 has held it's value at around 1000 for a long time now. This is already somewhat of a value at a 200 to 400 dollar savings but throw in the winder for 125 to 150, the videos, and manuals, and this is quite a bargain. If I didn't already have both these components, it would already be sold!
This was a backup camera and was well cared for all of my other cameras were sold to friends in the business. I have a couple of other lenses to sell in the future. You are correct in saying this is a good deal, this cost me well over $5000

The price of the package is really a good deal let alone the add ons.
The D700 will do most everything for you that you could ask of it. Just because the models aren't the latest and greatest item out there doesn't distract from the fact that they produce extremely fine pictures. Remember the pros were selling and publishing their shots with far less advanced equipment then this and making big money doing so. Leon
I am amazed that this hasnt sold yet, the lens alone cost $2000 new so your getting everything else FREE. Used the lens is selling$1300-$1400, the D700 is selling for $650-$1000 depending on condition, the battery grip is $100 used, the batteries are $40 each new plus the rest. My guess is people do not have the money but you can always use a credit card o.n PayPal

Your probably right. The economy isn't what I would hope it to be and money is still tight for a lot of people including me. Personally I seem to keep my equipment instead of selling off or give it to the kids.
I have moved to Fuji it is more than capable for what I do nowadays, no more big weddings I just do small beach weddings and this system is way lighter I will be selling off my other lenses that are left also.
