One of the vendors at the Coppell Farmer's market is an expert when it comes to Texas watermelons. He raises multiple varieties that come ripe during the course of the summer. This weeks offering is a yellow seedless variety. He kindly gave me permission to photograph on of his daughters on the back of his 3/4 ton pick-up.

She and her sisters & brothers (4-5? - it's hard to keep track, they never stay still) are great kids - very independent ......

ajohnston3,
Very nice subject and image. It reminds me of when I used to live in Eastern Colorado. We used to call these vendors "truck farms" because they were parked everywhere along the highway pullouts during the selling season. Thanks for the good memory.
