8mm f3.5 ultra wide angle (RO835N) is the full description for Nikon. This is not a fisheye. At B&H for $249.00, seems to be a bargain. Any feedback will be gratefully appreciated.

I believe it is a fisheye. Per B&H description - Rokinon 8mm Ultra Wide Angle f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Nikon F Mount. I don't have any experience with this lens, I would be interested in hearing what others say about it. It's listed for $239 currently.

This a Samyang lens available under several brand names including Rokinon, Bower, Vivitar and others. It is a fisheye lens (barrel distortion) - it clearly says so on the lens in the pictures. It is designed for APS-C cameras and is manual focus. It is a well reviewed lens.
I have the Canon mount version and am very pleased with it.
Good luck
In the current B&H catalog, the lens I describrd is not fisheye. The fisheye version has a different catalog number:RO836NC.

Yes, they make good lenses. I have the 14mm branded Bower in a Canon EF mount. Works fine, takes good pictures.
I just generally su*k at wide angle shooting. I keep getting the lenses for my cameras but results are hit or miss. I have the Sigma 10-20 mm for my two Sigma bodies. I have the Bower 14 mm in Canon EF and the Tamron 10-24 mm EF-S. I just have trouble thinking and visualizing in wide angle. 24 mm seems to be no problem for me, both the Tamron and the Canon 24-105 L. Wider I have problems.
edit, corrected Tamron to 10-24 mm

A very generous, but possibly undeserved piece of self deprecation! Sounds to me that you need to invest in some time playing with some of those fun lenses. It is a different way of thinking, but I would guess that you are up for that!
Why not take a day or two during August to go out and photograph things and only take the Bower 14 mm in Canon EF and the Tamron 10-14 mm EF-S with you. Then you'll just have to manage!
And if you sign up to post - say five images - to UHH that you like by the end of the month I bet you will have solved your problem, and we'll be able to tell you that you don't suck at wide angle shots!
Broaden your horizons!

This is a great lens. It is a fisheye lens. I have this in a Canon mount. very sharp and easy to use. I am on a trip for work or would post some pics. Well worth the price.

I like mine a great deal. Did this car show using it only. Great fun, and sharp also. Go for it.

I do have one and occasionally use it for the fisheye effect. But I also bought the Fisheye Hemi software for about $25. This software straightens up the barrel distortion and gives you an extreme wide-angle. Some of the most interesting shots in my Europe trip were with this lens.
