I bought this printer at a local camera store a couple of years ago and am very pleased with it. The price was right; there was no sales tax that weekend and I got a $200 rebate from Canon, which I used to purchase a small portable printer.

The printer came with the standard low capacity cartridges. When I went to replace them, I replaced all 12, which came in a box. The cost was about $300. Now I just replace them when needed. The cartridges cost about $35 each. This printer is used ONLY for photographs. I had an HP Officejet 8600 which I used for every day printing. I recently replaced that with an Epson WF-7260 which can scan 11" x 17" and print up to 13" x 19". It will do automatic duplexing. I plan on using it to make calendars that can be stapled in the middle instead of using plastic combs to connect the pages of the calendar.

The Pro-1 is a great printer and you'll like the quality of the print. The only thing I wish it was cable of doing, would be to print 16" x 20" prints, which is a normal size. I also would like to be able to use roll paper. I know these features are available on Epson printers, but I got a good deal on the Pro-1.

That's a good price! I have the 9000MKII and I can program it to print 13x16 which is the same proportion as the 16x20.

How do you program it to print in the same proportion as 16 x 20?

When I'm in Picasa and ready to print, hit the print buttom. A list comes up to ask which printer I want to use, 9000MKII, under that is a place to set up the photo, printer set up press it and you go into a program. Quict set, main and page set up; press page set up. First is page size. It will give you the size of print you want to print or let you choose the size yourself, custom. If I remember right, you can't get to custom if you select borderless print. Hit that little down arrow and everything it does on it's own shows and at the bottom custom. For a 13x16, I fill in those figure's. Then to page size, put in 13x19. When your good there hit the, OK, button at the bottom of the page. Then the photo come's up at the size your gonna print. Lower right corner hit , review and a box for review come's up and tells you the quality of your print in pixels, 100 pox makes a good print and the farther you get beyond that, the better it get's. I see little difference between a good review, 100 pix and a great review, 400+ pix. If it's good clicl on ok and then on print. Another screen come's up and just click on print again. Really easy after you do it a few time's.

Size's I print beside 13x16 are 9x18, 6x12 and other's. You choose that in printer set up.

To get the same ratio in size, devide 20 by 16 you'll get 1.25. For a 13x19 multiply 13 time'ws 1.25 and you'll get. 16.25. I put that in as 13x16. Divide the smaller number into the larger number and you'll get what to multiply by the smaller number of what you want. 8x10=1.25. 1.25x 8=10; 8x10.
