At the zoo
Last Sunday I stopped by the zoo. But the short walk from the car to the front gate made my lungs hurt so bad. I know its the smog and it hits me when ever I get anywhere that there is no air moment.
My doctor will not do anything. He will not give me a RX for an air tank or even give do any tests.
So Im wondering if a DIVE SHOP would sell air tanks. I mean its only regular air, not O2. I would also be nice if its filtered air.
Any divers out there.

you didn't say if you had a breathing problem.i did see a portable air machine on tv one day . try searching the web.you might have to pay for it ypurself, if you can't get through your doctors thick scull. if it's just the knees try a scooter like i did. AFTER THOUGHT tell your doctor you want another opinion.

No problem walking. The last few weeks I got out to the desert. Good clean air, but back home and my lungs are a hurting. Yes it is about time for a new doctor.

Another vote for another doc. Lack of oxygen to the lungs is bad, but lack of oxygen to the brain is much worse.

I dive, and most dive shops will not sell you a tank unless you are a cirtified diver. As others have said," get a different Doc to check you out.

You can buy an aluminum 80 Cubic Foot cylinder/tank ....you just can't get it legally filled without a PADI or NAUI (or similar)certificate.
