You are asking way too much money for pre owned used products

If you are not willing to pay these prices, fine, the seller will most likely realize that they may be a bit high, but the prices he/she are asking, are not for you to decide.
Too many times, folks are selling on here and there is always someone who is jumping in about the price one is asking. Please refrain from these statements. It just isn't polite! The rule of supply and demand will adjust the prices set. Please, let us all keep this in mind.

They are mint like new. You can buy the lens new and pay full price or buy the lens from me and get a decent discount on something that is like new and used once. You think its too high, you dont have to buy. But of course, you may want it for nothing. Thank you for your input.

"USED" lenses with no warranty are almost never worth more than factory refurbished versions of the same lens that have a factory warranty. Regardless of appearance or condition.

Are you saying that it's impolite to point out that the prices are too high? Doesn't truth count for anything?

Sure it does. However, you could PM the OP with your thoughts, instead of tainting his ad.

Just sayin'

I don't see how pointing out current value of an item is tainting. Sometimes the seller does not know what the items are worth and just picks some number. Sometimes inexperienced buyers might not know what a good buying price is either. Pointing out that they should look at KEH or E-Bay for current selling prices might help them adjust their expectations and get their items sold. It is not necessarily rude to point out reality.

This site is one of the better ones I have been on in regards to people helping out. That being said there are a lot of know it alls who just speak for the sake of hearing themselves talk. Even with this conversation, I got some good feedback that helps me to think about things. Thanks.

Admittedly juicesqueezer has a valid point. If I had high end equipment for sale, I would not appreciate someone degrading the equipment or me. It tends to turn prospective buyers off instead of potentially making a purchase. Here is a link for information on the first item listed for sale. This lens sold for $2,500.00 new, and when you read the reviews and technical data, it will be obvious as to why. I hope this helps. Tonytee. I do not believe the asking price is at all excessive. Important to keep in mind that this is a professional grade lens that is used to assist someone in earning a living. Thnx, Tonytee.

And this is why arguments start. I read all of the messages up to this point. No one "Degraded" either the equipment or the OP. The equipment was referred to as MINT by the OP and USED by a responder. The lens is a fine lens, no one has said otherwise. The discussion is over the price and just as you wrote that you believe the asking price is not excessive; someone else wrote that they felt it was.

Not to drag this on, but it's called supply and demand. Like I stated in my first post, that will dictate what an item sells for. Yes, a PM to the OP would have been much more appreciated by everyone.
It's the same thing when someone asks a question about a lens and who has one that can give me some feedback and someone responds, well I don't, but I have this lens.
Why???
You sure don't see people responding that a lens you are selling is too cheap, what are you thinking? No, they jump on it in a heart beat.
