for quite a while now, i have been somewhat hooked on a slow film by adox called cms20. it is a 20 iso film but i am finding it to give excellent results at 10. ok so my camera is pretty much attached to a tripod permanently. but i can live with that.
any other film film people here?

Ilford for me as well, particularly since they built a presence in the US... showing film commitment.

Still shooting Velveeta from Fujifilm for color though.

Processing film myself in Folgers Instant Coffee, in a process called caffenol. Some great blogs on the internet on this process. Folgers Instant Coffee, Vitamin C, and Washing Soda.

I don't shoot film any more, but it was hard to beat good old Tri-X. I could pull it a stop or two to cut contrast or push it a stop or two for low light. In the studio I liked T-Max 100, but when I tried T-Max 400, I found I still liked Tri-X better. And for really low light, or a really grainy look, T-Max 3200 filled the bill.

Agfa Pan 25 and KodaChrome 25 Both delivered incredible resolution that I have not yet found in the digital world.

I also like the other spectrum side with the Ilford 1000 especially when used with sepia paper.

I haven't shot film in several years, but I did for 30 years. My favorite slide film was Kodachrome 64. My favorite print film was Kodak Ultracolor 400. Neither one is still made. I shot very little B&W, but when I did I preferred Tri-X.

Ilford XP2. B&W film that requires color processing. Claims to be asa400 but is much closer to 200. If you shoot B&W you should try it.

FP4+ and Tri-X in 120. Tri-X in 35mm. TXP and FP4+ in 4x5. I have found HP5+ useful for one 4x5 project. Rated at 640 ISO, it can be wonderful
