Does anyone have this bulb release that they are not longer using. Would like to have one but have been unable to contact the maker at his address on this video.

I have seen other options with the elastic bands etc, but they do not appear to be as satisfactory.

Why don't you just search for "Sony RX-100 Remote Shutter Release" on eBAY? I have one for my Sony A6000 which plugs into the USB port and works great. (about $15) I did a quick search and I found the same release supports the RX-100 II and III. I suppose all models of the RX-100 use the same approach.

Advantage of the electronic remote is that when activating, there is less chance of movement of the camera since the bulb method has to compress the air in the tube which can cause it to shift a bit. Plus the tube has more mass.

Totally agree, but RX-100 does not support remote through usb port. Have thought about getting a wi-fi SD card, but for the number of times I would actually use it, a little pricey.

Also, this bulb release will cover the pop-up flash on the M3 so it's not practical for models after the M1. The USB release is available on all RX-100 models and the newer ones can use WiFi connection. The M4 even has remote viewing along with remote trigger and a whole lot more features.
