I agree with Gidgette concerning number 1. Judging from the background (perhaps not a wise thing to do), your color balance seems too warm.
Like the dark sky. Looks polarized but the second one seems to have been done with flash. I would use a diffuser to soften those shadows.

I think these are some of the best blossom shots I have seen, not a lot of clutter in the background, and sharp and nice colors..weird isn't it how different strokes for different folks?
