Great captures.I love the catch of the eyes . Comparing the two cameras which do you think is the better of the two

Thanks, Bkh42! While I still own the SX40, I like the slightly longer reach of the SX50 because of my main preference for bird & wildlife portrait photography. I really can't recall the last time I had to crop an image. One feature I really appreciate on the SX50 is the "Framing - Assist Lock." It's incredibly effective in further stabilizing the camera during hand-held attempts, especially when using maximum zoom. While there are slight technical differences between the cameras, my experience is that the final image quality comes down to the user. I've taken good and bad shots with both cameras!
