Here's my first attempt at a Panorama. This is from a 270mb PSD file where I combined 6 vertical shots from raw files. After PP the jpg turned out to 36mb. The dimensions turned out to be 8196 x 3861. I had to reduce it down to upload.

My computer was able to handle it without any problem. I timed the merging process in PS. It was 1 minute and 15 seconds. After that, all of the other processing was the normal amount of processing time.

Thanks, Don, Violameister, Jim and Bob. Glad you liked it. I can see doing more of these so I just bought a rail nodal slide for shooting panos. Here's an article explain the theory behind it.

I think the theory is right on. However, when doing panoramas of distant scenes, the error is likely to be less than a pixel and thus irrelevant. If doing panoramas of something much closer, then this looks like it might be a good idea; but these nodal slides are quite expensive. I might try to make one just to see if it really improves the image.

I just bought this one from Ebay made by Neewer for less than $15. For that price, I thought it was worth trying.

Thanks, Bill. I might have it printed. Then I'll have to find a frame.

Nicely done. I'm really impressed that you were able to stitch the moving waves (or ripples) together so seamlessly. IMO those curved waves are what takes this photo to a higher level. They really help emphasize the sweep of the river.
