What maximum apertures?
The 18-200 would be most versatile in great light. The 28-75 is a great general purpose lens, but a wider minimum focal length would be desirable for most folks.
It really all depends on what you want to photograph!
Cool!
Didn't know there was a feature like that.

I just wish UHH enforced the location variable when one signs on to the site.

When I was travelling anywhere, and packing for weight was a factor, I found the 18-200 with the 50 1.8 in my pocket, was a great combo.
But only if you have either a good 18-200 with no lens creep or the mk2 with a lens lock button. The drooping lens was so annoying, I sold my first 18-200 to buy the mk2 and still have it and use it on the D7100.
Strangely tho, I get better results with it on my D300s than I do with the D7100.
For travelling, that extra width to 18mm was so handy (and did save my feet a few extra steps) :)

There is and I stumbled on it a while back. It's accessed through the "User List" at the top of the page. Click on "User List" then just use the search function there. It's great!

Himat, I carry a 28~300 and a 20mm lens with me 100% of the time. I use a D700 with them. I've not had a situation where I was ill equipped to be able to photograph.
Maximum opening of the lens is not an issue as I can always adjust the ISO to gain a stop or three, if needed.

I carry an 18-250 and a 50 mm. That seems to be all I need for 98% of my travel.
I would say 600mm f4!!
Hey, if you're not going there to shoot puffins, what's the point of going!!!

Well, from this selection I would first choose the 18-200 lens because it is the widest you have. Then either the 28-75 or 50 mm.

My general travel kit is the Nikon 10-20 mm and the 18-200mm.

That wasn't one of his options!!
Hard to answer your question, Himat. Are you saying you only want to take one lens? Or, if more than one, how many are you willing to lug around?? Obviously you will give yourself the most flexibility if you take all of them.
Very generally speaking, I find that in traveling if you can only take one lens, you will be happiest in having taken the lens with the longest zoom.
which do you use most often? That's the one I would take!
