I caught him on the run. That seems to be my usual method these days. Hopefully I'll have some spring flowers to post soon. But snow tomorrow night so the forecasters are telling us.

Beautiful hawk photo. I have one of a hawk in our avocado tree but, just joined and haven't quite figured out how to post to site yet. Tech challenged.
Unusual spelling of Kathie, that's my name too.

Very nice shot Kathie!! If your focus was good you can crop it a little more. And yes it looks like you are about to get some snow. It is going through Michigan right now. Wish I could send you some warm weather. We are going to get cold but no snow.

I think I figured it out. Here is the hawk in the avocado tree.
Now how do I rotate it?

In Aperture there is an arrow with a box. All I have to do is hit that.

There's a hawk that flies around here as well but he always seems to wait until I'm without my camera and then he'll fly by. I did catch him a couple of weeks ago for a couple of seconds as he flew out of a tree and left.
