Learning all over again

Hi everyone.
I guess I will just jump right in.
Eons ago, when I was in high school, I was on the yearbook staff as a photographer. What I really enjoyed was working in the darkroom.
Last year my son gave me a Canon eos 60-d with an ef-s 18-135mm kit lens. I get out as much as possible to take photos. I like to shoot landscape the most. Peter Lik is my favorite photographer so i dream of going to locations like he does.
Anyway, with that being said, what would be the suggestions for upgrading my equipment to make the best photos?
I have PS elements 10 that I am still trying to learn. I just like to add that special touch in the darkroom (lap top).

Thanks for any suggestions.

I would supplement the kit lens with some high quality glass or consider off-camera flash. A quality tripod is also a good investment.

Consider a polarizing filter and a graduated neutral density filter.

Good luck & have fun!
