Need Photoshop Elements Help

I took a photo of a meadowlark last week from a car, and unfortunately, there was a branch directly in front of the meadowlark causing unwanted blurriness. I've been told that PSE can be used to remove the branch so I downloaded a trial version of PSE 10. I've reviewed a few videos about PSE, and tried using the Spot Healing Brush Tool, but haven't had much success. Could someone give me a quick lesson on the steps to remove this branch from the photo? Thanks in advance.

Try using the Spot Healing brush set to content aware, and also use the Clone stamp tool. It takes a little practice, but it's pretty easy. Here's what I could do with the limited time I had before I had to leave for work.

I took a close look at it and my opinion is that you can't REALLY get anything of good quality out of it.

You can fix it but it will never look good and look like the branch wasn't there.

IF this was a once-in-a-life-time shot i'd say do your best and fix it but you can always take another bird shot and I'd chalk it up to a learning experience.

Thanks for your effort Mark. I will give it a try myself. I'll probably save the photo and try to fix it when I have more experience with PSE.

Yea, you are probably right, rpavich. There are plenty of other meadowlarks out there. Thanks for taking a look at it.
