The first object looks suspiciously like a worry stone from the 1960s - I had one and wore it out. The second might be a hair barette with the clip removed. The grayish stuff around or coming from both appears to be to be modeling clay used to prop the objects up.

These components were implanted in my wife's knee 15 years ago and were replaced with a full joint last Friday.

Yes, my wife had a new knee put in a couple years ago. We did not have a fun time recovering, but all is good now.
Wife's new parts.
We know all about that recovery. This is her third and, hopefully, final go at it. One week behind us and the day we can throw out those Tedd hose, we might have a celebratory drink!
