I lost my best buddy a few months ago and I did go to the aspa and now I have Mel. She will never replace Teddy, but she is trying.
Google "a dog for Jesus" by Kipling. It is so moving.
That is a very good picture. I mentioned my buddy Magic above; a month after her death we went to the animal shelter, where we were adopted by a completely black cat we call Leila. While I was entering my message above, she kept wanting to stand between my monitor and me, because she felt that she, and she only, should have been getting my attention. So, she is adequately affectionate, but pure black is
so hard to photograph and show texture!

Mel will never replace Teddy and that is a good thing. Each one is unique. The strange thing about love is the more you give away, the more you have.

On monday morning my beautiful Luna got killed by a speeding car in front of my house. She was the most beautiful model I'd ever had...if anything she was my inspiration for taking up photography again. I'll miss her.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We had two huskies One my son got as a pup. The other we picked up off the side of the road after someone hit with a car and didn't stop. The vet wanted to put her to sleep. But my wife nursed her back to health. She died years later of old age. All our pets are part of the family and are missed very much when their gone.

So sorry for your loss. She reminds me of my nephew's dog, Kyoosh, a beautiful girl (especially the one of her peering from around her tail). Our pets are like family, and it's so hard when we loose them.
My condolences to you for your loss. Thank goodness you have many photos of this beautiful doggie to help you to remember the best times.
Oh, I am so very sorry you have lost your pal. I don't know what
I would do without my Maggie. I can only imagine how you must feel. Thank goodness you have some great pictures to remember he by.
