Wide Angle (24mm) views from my back deck and porch.
I meant to do this earlier in the year but got derailed. Here is a video I took from my back deck and front porch, using a tripod and circular polarizing filter, with a FujiFinepix HS10 bridge camera. I got it used on ebay about 9 months ago. The camera has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24mm to 720mm.
It's the first time I used it for video. The widest angle I could get on my Nikon D3100 with a manual Vivitar 19mm lens was 28.5mm (35 mm equivalent), so I tried out the Fujifinepix with the 24mm wide angle.
I was happy with the video quality on the Fujifiepix, but the in camera mic picked up too much noise from autofocusing and auto-aperture changes. For still pics, the camera can be set to manual, but in video mode it shoots 1920x1080, 60fps, with auto focusing and auto-aperture.
I spent about a half hour covering up the click noises on the audio track when I edited the video. In future I'll use an external sound recorder, sync the audio track to the camera audio track in the video editor, then mute the camera's audio track.
