Window size in LR

I thought that the size of the panels in LR used to be smaller so I could see them from top to bottom. Also, some popups are cut off. Changing screen resolution in Windows does not help. How can I fix those problems?

There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the size of the panels vertically. However, if your intention is to maximise the workspace, the vertical edges can be moved horizontally. If you run the cursor over the vertical edges of the workspace, you'll see the cursor change to a bi-directional arrow as it enters the border area just outside the workspace. If you click and hold down you can move the edge left or right.

However, be advised that if you make the control area on the right smaller, the sliders become shorter and therefore harder to move smoothly with precision. And if you make the History panel on the left narrower, the small image in the top left corner becomes smaller.

I'm assuming that you know how to hide the film-strip area at the bottom and the mode selection area at the top when you want to (hiding them increases the workspace area).

Thanks for the advice but that is not the problem. I have a plug-in the pops up a daughter window which used to display fully. Now, the right side is cut off.

Sometimes if you click and hold down when inside a window, you can move it to a more central position. Maybe at some time in the past you moved it - possibly without realising that you'd moved it - so now it appears too close to the edge of the screen.

Or perhaps you moved one of the sides of the window by inadvertently clicking and holding down then moving the cursor.

The plug-in window has its resizing grayed out. It now is ok right to left but is not short top to bottom. Go figure.
