Jen... Waiting a minute or so longer and you would not have had the over exposed sun in the middle of the picture. I find I get better sunsets waiting till the sun is down behind the trees, mountain or horizon. Just a suggestion. Just about every sunset I have taken the sun is down. This is the only one I did take where any of the sun was actually showing. The second one is a sunrise, just before the sun appeared.
