I've been trying all night to down load these photos, I guess you have to do them one at a time. I was using a Canon T2i camera, which i just brought. I've always shot auto until now. These are shot manual. Wow! This is alot of fun. Feel free to critique looking forward to your comments. I do have other photos. Oldhilker

I like your first one. It is so weird with the tree in back leaning way to the right.

I really like to first one, Mr. Hiker. It makes me think it would be fun to just sit there all day long and see how the light changes throughout the day. Maybe take a photo every 30min. Haha.
Also, I KNOW the picture is level, but I keep tilting my head to the right when I look at it! Maybe because of the way the ground is on the left side of the picture. I like stuff like that.
When I downloaded it to see the "big picture" I was expecting more sharpness than what was there. Were you using a tripod? I mean, it's sharp, but I thought it was going to be sharper! What do you think?
Thanks for posting these!

Danilo! Thank you! Being that I'm new at this by shooting manual, the light kept changeing all the time. I did not use a tripod, though I had one with me. Next time I well, becouse your to use one when shooting at F/22 right? Let me add one more that I think you'll like. Thank you!

It's really your shutter speed that predicates the use of a tripod. A general rule is to use the tripod if your shutter speed is less than about 1/60th sec. More specifically: take the focal length of your lens, say 50mm, your threshold is 1/50th sec. If your FL is 200mm, your threshold is 1/200th sec. See the pattern?
You're doing great! Keep at it!

My favorite is #1, it looks like it is somewhere I would like to take a hike. Thanks
