Caught this eagle flying through Pine Creek Valley a few weeks back, had it identified by local ornothologists as a young bald eagle. I'm still up in the air, but the eagle has landed. A lesser photo shot just after this one had a red winged blackbird in hot pursuit.
Not a nice day for shooting but that's been our summer in central Pa

Thanks much! I keep telling myself that when I retire I will have more time to get some exciting eagle shots.

Super shot! Looks like this year's fledgling. Here is a chart (scroll to page 3); amazing how many changes they go through before full adulthood.
