Re the Gold Diggers at Chilkoot pass, 1898. Charlie Chaplins movie "The Gold Mine" shows actual footage of the miners climbing over the pass. Thomas Edison sent a group of photographers to shoot the scene.
Turner Classic Movies (TCM) occasionally shows Chaplin's movie on "Silent Sunday Nights".
You might like some of the old silent movies.

I will indeed check their schedule more frequently and look for the next screening of "The Gold Mine." Thanks!

Don't know about "The Gold Mine" - but Charlie Chaplin's "The Gold Rush" is available on YouTube.
