Monument Valley is a great place to visit but it is a hard on the car. The road into the valley is more like a creek bed, equal to the old Denali road in Alaska.

I took that road years ago in a rented maroon Chrysler New Yorker. It was in November and the ground was frozen when I went in. Coming out, the sun had turned the road into mud and I almost couldn't exit. Amazingly, perhaps due to the month and weather, I only saw a handful of other vehicles in there.
As to your photos, you have captured the beauty and spirituality of this location which my pictures failed to do. Thanks for sharing images of this very magical place and awakening my memories of it. 8-)
All three are beautifully done.....my favorite tho is #1

Thanks very much for the comment. The last time I was there was two years ago in October no mud but red dust, I just bought a new BMW and knowing the road from other visits, I wasn't sure if I should do it, I think there is still some red dust hiding in the corners.

I know what you mean Mike. Drove all over Arizona with that big New Yorker. You should have seen that red dust in the trunk covering the luggage when I turned the car in. :D
I like the first one but I was wondering how you look at a Rule of thirds...or don't you use it at all which I would do with all of the wonderment of the beauty. Great pictures!!
Blacks 2, I don't know how many times you've visited Monument Valley but next time you go be there for a sunrise it's glorious! Every second the scene in front of you is changing. I've seen many many sunrises but Monument Valley is truly special. The mittens take on a whole new character. I do like your images but try a sunrise and also hire a guide to take you into the non public areas.

Thank you.
That was outstanding.
Because of all of the old Western films that were shot there,
That place has been on my Radar for over 50 years.
Road trip.

The over saturation I did on purpose, in my memory this is how the western movies looked in Technicolor.
