Bidding, Pricing, Quoting Software Problems

I need help emailing price quotes from assignment and pricing software programs such as FotoQote and BlinkBid. They do not support Web based email functions and require other email communication such as Windows. Can anyone share with me what is required and how to streamline this cumbersome process. I am used to using web based email such as Hotmail and find this non web based method quite an inconvenience. What is the point of producing a detailed quote if you can only print it and not easily email it. Welcome your help.

Harry, I'm not familiar with either of those programs. However, do they allow for a Save As. If so, save as a pdf. That format is attachable to an email.

Perhaps, you could do as I did and generate your bidding..etc., using Excel. I'm not trying to muddy the waters by suggesting alternative software than what you are using.

Can you not copy paste the quote?

Hotmail can be used without the web interface. As can gmail pop smtp is older than webmail and there are mail programs available for all platforms, Thunderbird is a cross platform mail client from mozilla makers of firefox that would be a reasonable alternative to outlook.

Install Cute pdf writer. It looks to the system like a printer and then takes the print job and creates a pdf of it.. the program is absolutely free and works great. Then just email the pdr to the client.

Thank you all for your input. I am now able with ease to email all quotes using both Adobe Acrobat and Cute PDF. Thanks for all your support.

CutePDF is an amazing and very simple little program. I used it for a long time but have switched to using PrimoPDF which is another FREE PDF-printer program, but it allows you to print a 2nd file, give it the same name as a previous file and then will ask if you want to REPLACE or APPEND TO the original. Makes an easy way to print multiple documents into ONE PDF.

See if your program will save the quote in PDF format. Otherwise scan the document and send as an attachment.

I will save to PDF and my problem has been solved. I also considered scanning my documents and sending as an attachment but I did want the original software to perform as indicated. Both Adobe Acrobat and Cute PDF work fine and with ease now. Thanks for your input.
