Microfiber only here.

I use microfibers all the time for quick touch-ups, but the wipes are best for fingerprints, waterspots, pine tar and lipstick.

Lipstick on you lens??? That's the first time I've heard of such a thing! :)

Sorry, too much info! LOL

Kissing your lens again, MT? If you just give the barrel a smooch, the front element won't get so smeary.. :)

Jus tbought the Zeiss wipes last night based on recommendations here at UHH. I use a lot of sources to learn more about photography. This site has been one of the most valuable.

That must have been some close-up shot to get lipstick on the lens.

I did glamour professionally for a few years back in the 90's. Lipstick and makeup always managed to get on my gear, had to keep an eye out for it on the lenses as it would oversoften a shot. Always had a Zeiss Softar filter or a bellows hood with drop-in softeners on so the lens elements themselves were usually spared.

Lipstick? Are you sure you are not getting a little too close to the subject? At least with the camera?

Oh, never mind--I should have read all the way through the thread first.
