Now guys and gals tell me what type of lens should I get for my Canon to be able to bring this in close...
Besides the (almose) fifty mm, I have a 28/95 and a 75/300 which is priceless for far-a-way shots...so therefore, highly recommend that for those shots... You can pick--up good used ones reasonable on ebay....
What lens were these taken with? How close do you want to get? How big is your check book? LOL :D

No...I mean that the 70-300III in particular wasn't a good lens specifically...it's a stinker. (I think that the III version is the bad one)
I realize that there are other canon lenses that are good.
Gotcha: My 75/300 is a really good one... very sharp..

It really depends on your budget !
A TAMRON 70-300 F 4-5.6 with IS will run you about $400 while the CANON 100-400 about $1,600
