I am having major slowdown issues uploading and processing my files in lightroom. I am shooting raw and they are taking forever to load. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Get a newer computer.

Seriously, check your ram usage. With files as large as the 5DS's you might just be stuck at the speed you you have right now. The ram might be such that you do not have enough allocated to run any faster. Open Lightroom and go to the upper left corner and click on help. Scroll down to system info. Click on system info and check the memory.

People mentioned the same thing when the D800 came along with its 36MP sensor. What processor and memory does your computer have?

When Nikon came out with the new D800 with 36 megapixel images, everyone that had a 2 or 3 year or older computer asked the same question. It's because of the massive files produced by the camera. The new Canon produces 50 something megapixel files. They require a massive amount of ram, hard drive space, and a fast processor or you will be twiddling your thumbs for a long while.

According to Canon technical specialist Rudy Winston, the 5ds will produce raw .cr2 files of approximately 60 megabytes.

Which is more than twice the size of the raw files produced by my 5DIII which are 25mb each.
