Shot this through thin clouds.
Venus dominates but Jupiter is showing his moons.
Canon 5D Mark II 25 second exposure at f/5.6 ISO 200
750mm Newtonian
Converted from RAW and sharpened a smidge.
I know its over exposed but I liked the look with the cloud haze.
Second shot was this evening through the clouds.
Canon 7D 300mm L 1/250 f/14 ISO 200

Both are pretty cool, personally I like the first with the starbursts of what I am guessing is Venus.
Better than I I didnt even attempt because of clouds and poor seeing.

Thank you Craig. This cloud stuff is so strange. We usually have pretty clear skies early in summer but not this year.
I shot lots of fireworks photos last night and we had clouds for that. Strange.

A full Moon and no one is posting any shots of DSO's.
I can't wait till next week, I'm going to the mountain to get away from the fog.

I know there's a moon up there but I haven't seen it.
It's well into waning now so it's not going to happen for me anyway.
I keep looking for the CA folks to post and
