I went to another beautiful spot to hike in Lancaster County, PA yesterday. Saw a bald eagle fly over but I wasn't quick enough to capture it. Here is one photo - it isn't my favorite but some comments about my shutter speeds for the waterfall shot made me decide to post this one. I personally like the second photo better.
Nice shots. They appear to be taken during mid day when the light is kind of harsh. Not much you can to about that. If the place isn't too far away, try going back for that "magic hour" light within an hour of sunrise/sunset. It may mean doing some hiking in the dark but that what it takes sometimes.
An overcast day will help to soften the light as well.
